Next Week



In RE we will be reading the old Testament story~Abraham. What do you know about this important man?








In Literacy we will be reading and writing about the story Owl Babies.
We will be describing the owls and using new openers to retell the story.





In Science we will be continuing to build circuits. What do you need to light a bulb?





In Maths we will be working on multiplication and division. Can you count in 2s,5s and 10s?

RE

In RE we will be starting a new unit of work from The Old Testament.
The story of Noah and God's Promise to Noah is very important. What do you know about this story?
Today we watched The Big Assembly from London led by Pope Benedict. Pope Benedict visits Birmingham on Sunday. Will you be visiting Cofton Park? Mrs Felton is going and will tell us all about it next week.
Don't forget to keep Pope Benedict in your prayers.


Next Week

Next Thursday we are celebrating Mass at Sacred Heart and Holy Souls Church and then having a tea party in our hall. Don't forget to get baking! We will  be sharing all the cakes at the tea party.
In Maths we will be learning about doubles and halves.

In Literacy we will be reading and writing about a magician called The Great Lorenzo. What objects does a magician need?

A New Year in Year 2

Welcome back into Year 2.
Here are a few reminders about Year 2
1. Reading folders every day. In Year 2 you can change your book when you have finished reading it and when your grown up has signed your diary. How many books will you read this year?
2. P.E every Monday. In Year 2 we leave our kit in school.
3.We work hard and care and share with our friends.

Remember in Year 2 we will be working on targets in R.E, reading, writing and Maths. Every week on the Year 2 BLOG you will find lots of games and activities to help you in your learning.
